He received a BA in Theater from the University of Notre Dame, and an MFA as a McKnight Fellow at the University of Minnesota. He also studied at L’Universite Catholique de L’Ouest in Angers, France. He trained in the classics at the Tyrone Guthrie Theater for five years. He has appeared On, Off, and Off Off Broadway in over 100 professional productions, as well as in feature films and television. Lance and his wife, actress Mary Chalon, are the founders of Parson’s Nose Productions, a professional theater company in South Pasadena, California, devoted to classical theater for family audiences, which performs at the Geffen Playhouse, the Pasadena Playhouse, and in schools throughout the Los Angeles County.
